Start with a risk assessment
Identify the hazards, who is exposed and how exposure occurs. Consider eliminating the hazard or reducing it through engineering and work practices before relying on PPE. PPE is one part of a safety system, not a replacement for safer working conditions.
Match equipment to the actual hazard
A construction helmet, safety glasses, chemical-resistant gloves and hearing protectors do different jobs. Choose protection for the specific impact, splash, noise or other exposure identified. High-visibility clothing improves visibility but does not automatically protect against heat or chemicals.
Check fit and compatibility
Ask workers to try the correct sizes. A helmet, earmuffs, eyewear and respirator must work together without compromising protection. Follow manufacturer instructions and check the product’s documented rating against the assessment.
Plan a bulk order
Record each task, required protection, sizes and quantities before requesting a quote. RealSafetyKit supplies bulk orders with a minimum of 10 units. Dispatch to site is 15–20 business days. Confirm exact product specifications and availability when you enquire.
